What are some of the best practices in discipleship?
I can say that without a doubt my prayer life for my disciples has become my most important role in discipling them.
#2----Scripture memory
How do you prepare a one to one? (format, time)
In my planning I ask the 3 basic leadership questions: where are we going this month, where are they now, what is my next step to build in to that. Again, prayer in these questions is key.
What is the best thing you do in your discipleship of a new/young believer?
Give them the visual of Psalm 1:1-3 and discuss the desire of God for them to have a life of abundance (vitality), significance (fruitfulness), and longevity (endurance). This was a helpful grid given by Dr. Futato in his study of the Psalms. These are the marks of a believer’s life that God desires for us and reflects the health and fruitfulness of a disciple through abiding deeply in God’s Word. I want them to have a long view of walking with God for a lifetime and the biblical way to measure spiritual health and multiplication
