  • What are some of the best practices in discipleship?

I can say that without a doubt my prayer life for my disciples has become my most important role in discipling them.

#2----Scripture memory

  • How do you prepare a one to one? (format, time)

In my planning I ask the 3 basic leadership questions: where are we going this month, where are they now, what is my next step to build in to that. Again, prayer in these questions is key.

  • What is the best thing you do in your discipleship of a new/young believer?

  1. Give them the visual of Psalm 1:1-3 and discuss the desire of God for them to have a life of abundance (vitality), significance (fruitfulness), and longevity (endurance). This was a helpful grid given by Dr. Futato in his study of the Psalms. These are the marks of a believer’s life that God desires for us and reflects the health and fruitfulness of a disciple through abiding deeply in God’s Word. I want them to have a long view of walking with God for a lifetime and the biblical way to measure spiritual health and multiplication

  2. Identity in Christ

  3. Assurance of Salvation

  4. Lordship

  5. Great Commission
