JOB SUMMARY:
The videography position entails creating videos for Kaleo that meet the project’s needs, whether for communication or entertainment purposes. This student will also collaborate with other media and administrative interns to help plan and execute Kaleo programs and events.
The internship is designed to give the student essential industry insights and hands-on experience in their field of choice. It’s a full-time, 8-week commitment from May 22nd – July 15th. The time requirement would be an estimated 35-45 hours per week. The schedule will be determined around the student’s other obligations (specifically, if student is a DGL at Kaleo). Students can raise money to receive a paycheck for the internship. Inquire for more details if interested.

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

Record, edit and upload each StuMo Night talks

Help plan and record footage for future Kaleo videos

Transport audio and video equipment to and from Kaleo events

Assist team leads and administrative staff with logistics and planning of key Kaleo events

Create an immersive digital experience at each StuMo Night (i.e. emcee videos, countdown videos, help with playlist, bumper videos, etc.)

Help setup and tear down AV equipment at each event throughout the project

Contribute ideas and ways to improve videography and/or digital media as a whole with the Kaleo administrative team

Attend each StuMo event with an attitude to serve
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Moderate experience in shooting and editing videos

Above average communication skills

Familiar with your own camera and cameras settings

Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro

Minimum knowledge of Adobe After Effects and Photoshop

Laptop computer

Ability to multitask and work on multiple projects at a time

Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
EDUCATION & PRIOR STUMO EXPERIENCE:

Student must be a Kaleo participant, KLP or DGL
-
Going into your junior or senior year
-
2.5 GPA or higher seeking a degree in one of the majors listed below:

Media: Videography, Photography, Graphic Design, Digital Media, Media Arts or similar

Communications: Public Relations, Advertising, Marketing or similar
