STUMO'S Commitment to Health and Safety
Last Updated: May 6, 2021
a note about covid-19
The health and safety of our students and staff is our top priority. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, we think it is important that you understand our efforts to manage the health and safety of all Kaleo participants so you can make an informed choice in attending our Kaleo summer project. We are focused on taking all reasonable measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 at our project.
We have enhanced our sanitation measures according to the guidelines and protocols given by federal, state and local health officials. This situation continues to change daily, and as such, we will adapt and adjust our protocols and procedures as we follow guidance provided by the CDC and federal and local health departments, in our efforts to keep our students, staff and families safe.
We will be continually updating this webpage with any new guidelines or measures we decide to take. Below are the procedures and protocols we're committed to in order to ensure the health and safety of everyone at Kaleo 2021.
protocols and procedures
We have three registered nurses on StuMo staff who will be at Kaleo for its entirety. We are familiar with local hospitals and clinics, and know which nearby locations are providing COVID-19 testing.
Keeping things Clean
At Kaleo, we will make high-percentage alcohol-based hand sanitizer available to our students at all Kaleo meetings. Our staff and students will be encouraged to use hand sanitizer each time they enter and exit any meeting space or room.
In order to better protect everyone, we are recommending everyone wear face masks indoors at all official Kaleo events. We will have masks available at all Kaleo events for anyone who needs one. We will abide by all federal and local health departments' guidelines.
We’re continually evaluating all of our programs at Kaleo to determine any changes we need to make to keep them in compliance with government and health policies and protocols. We will ensure that all of our large group gatherings will fall in line with whatever restrictions or protocol the state is recommending at the time of Kaleo. Florida’s phases of reopening.
Kaleo employs numerous layers of systems and protocols to ensure that our students stay safe and healthy this summer. However, the most important thing we do as a ministry is spend countless hours praying in advance for every student who will be with us this summer. Our prayer is that they would experience an unforgettable summer of growth in their faith, character, leadership and in friendships with others in a healthy and safe environment.
